Set on a medieval moated island surrounded by superb gardens
The Priory was founded in 1229. The remains after the Dissolution were incorporated into a Tudor farm and country house that now contains a fascinating array of exhibits. Grounds include 14th century gatehouse, watermill, physic and cloister gardens and Elizabethan great barn. Historic Houses Association Member.
