Kenmare Lace & Design Centre

In Dublin, London, Washington, Paris, Rome, in Museums around the world, those with an appreciation of the exquisite and intricate skill of lace-making, can see examples of Kenmare Lace. Here in the town of Kenmare, we are proud of the people, and their skills, who in the past created this beautiful lace. Fortunately, the skills and traditions of lace-making have been preserved by the sisters of St. Clares Convent. Each year crowds come to the Heritage Centre to view samples of the old craft that are kept here
