The home of William Morris, poet, craftsman and socialist
The home of William Morris, poet, craftsman and socialist from 1871 until his death in 1896. The house contains a collection of the possessions and works of Morris and his associates including furniture, textiles, carpets and ceramics. An exhibition of `William Morris at Kelmscott' is being held in one of the barns during normal opening times. Historic Houses Association Member. Opening Times: Apr - Sept: Wed & 3rd Sat in Apr, May, Jun & Sept, also 1st & 3rd Sat in July & Aug. Wed, 11am - 1pm & 2 - 5pm, Sat, 2 - 5pm. Private visits for groups (15+) on Thurs & Fris
