One of two surviving buildings of the original Palace of Westminster, the Jewel Tower was built c 1365 to house the personal treasure of Edward III. It was subsequently used as a storehouse and government office. The exhibition "Parliament Past and Present", shows how Parliament works and a new touch-screen computer gives a virtual reality tour of both Houses of Parliament.
