Owned by Led Zepplin in the 1970s
Built in 1792 as an Apollo's hunting lodge by Benjamin Latrobe, architect of the Capitol and the White House, Washington DC. Owned by Led Zepplin in the 1970s, rescued from dereliction in 1982. Cream teas in the Organ Room; mural by French artists in the hall; and a derelict dining room still shocks the unwary. Guided tours (said by many to be the most interesting in Sussex) by the family. Historic Houses Association Member. Opening Times: Easter Mon - end Sept: Wed, Sat & BH Mon, 2 - 5.30pm. Guided tour starts 2.05pm. Coaches strictly by appointment. Small groups any time throughout the year by appointment |
