In a peaceful valley, the red sandstone remains of a wealthy abbey founded in 1123 by Stephen, later King of England, are at the end of Ann ancient route from Bow Bridge. There is an exhibition and a museum contains fine stone carvings. Suitable for disabled visitors. Open late March - late October, daily. Early November - late March, Wed - Sun only.
