A great historical and educational day out
A large Jacobean mansion built 1618 - 1635 from plans by John Thorpe. The Hall is brick-built with a fairytale skyline of gables and turrets. The interior has period rooms from the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries and a splendid long gallery measuring 136ft. A large kitchen and servants' rooms are also on display.
Opening times: 2 Apr - 31 Oct: daily 2 - 5pm. Parkland open all year round.
