Moated house built in 1482 by the Bedingfeld family, who still live here. The rooms show the development from Medieval austerity to Victorian comfort. Embroidery worked by Mary Queen of Scots, during her captivity, is on display. There are delightful woodland walks and a French parterre in the garden.
