`Gardened naturally, free from restriction of institute, experimenting continuously, and always permitting nature to have its say'. Set in 4 acres of gently sloping Weald farmland, a naturalistic garden which never fails to delight. Deep curved borders richly planted and colour themed. An abundance of rare plants will startle the visitor with sheer originality. The garden is planted according to prevailing conditions and only using plants suited for naturalising and colonising their environment. This natural approach to gardening harks back to the days of William Robinson and is growing in popularity, especially in Northern Europe. Alternatively many borders are colour themed and planted in the great tradition of English gardening. These borders use a rich mix of trees, shrubs, perennials and grasses and give an arresting display from spring to autumn. There is a new entrance garden in the style of Monet's `Grande All‚e' at Giverny, France. Other new ventures include a rock and scree garden, a foliage border and further development of the woodland. Opening Times: 2 Apr - 30 Sept: daily, 10am - 5pm
