The longest and deepest of Perthshire's many lochs
The longest and deepest of Perthshire's many lochs (lakes), Loch Tay provides quintessential Highland scenery, with its mirror-like waters reflecting the brooding mountains which tower above - most notably Ben Lawers, one of Scotland's highest peaks. Today, the loch is a mecca for water-sports lovers, and also boasts a unique "crannog" - a reconstructed prehistoric loch dwelling. Don't miss pretty Kenmore village at the loch's eastern end.
