Beautiful moated manor house covering 650 years of history from the Medieval Great Hall to the Victorian housekeeper's room. North-west quarter re-opened in 1998 after a major conservation programme; see the Tudor chapel, billiard room and drawing room. Exhibition details the traditional skills used. Lovely garden with lakes and woodland. Surrounding estate provides many country walks. House is busy on Suns and BH Mons, 2 - 4pm, visitors may have to wait.
