A charming house surrounded by over 500 acres of parkland
This beautiful villa, with its neo-classical exterior is surrounded by over 500 acres of parkland, including formal gardens. The house reopens at Easter 1999 after a period of restoration work. The Library, Drawing Room and Saloon have been restored to their appearance in the early Victorian period. The entrance hall was the subject of work in 1995 to restore it to its Georgian origins. It is possible to view the unrestored Banqueting Room on the ground floor. There is an exhibition detailing the restoration work and the history of the house.
