Visit the country home of William Hogarth
This late 17th century house was the country home of William Hogarth, the famous painter, engraver, satirist and social reformer between 1749 and his death in 1764. It contains a collection of his engravings and prints, and the house is surrounded by an extensive garden which is in the process of restoration. The house is now a gallery, which describes Hogarth's life and work and also his wide range of interests, together with a display of his prints. Opening Times: Apr - Oct: Tue - Fri, 1 - 5pm, Sat & Sun, 1 - 6pm. Nov - Mar: Tue - Fri, 1 - 4pm, Sat & Sun, 1 - 5pm. Closed Jan, Good Fri, 25 & 26 Dec. Closed Mons except BHs
