The garden is set in superb countryside and combines formal design with informal planting, producing delightful walks with many unexpected vistas. There is colour and scent throughout the season and highlights include a dell and a sunken garden. The house, restored after a fire in 1960, has a fine collection of Regency furniture and Italian paintings. It is privately tenanted and is open by arrangement with the tenant. Opening times: Garden: 21 & 28 Mar then 3 Apr - end of Sept: Tue, Wed, Sat, Sun & BH Mons. House: 6 Apr - end of Sept, Tue & Wed, plus Sat & Sun in Aug, 1.30 - 5.30pm
