Hall's Croft is one of the finest half-timbered, gabled houses in Stratford-upon-Avon. It was named after Dr John Hall, who married Shakespeare's daughter Susanna in 1607. John ran a successful medical practice treating many patents, rich and poor, in the town and district. The Halls probably lived here until Shakespeare died, when they moved into New Place. Hall's Croft is close to Holy Trinity Church, where Shakespeare is buried
