Extensive pleasure gardens dominated by romantic Gothic Castle built in 1801 of local sandstone. Imaginatively laid out with fine trees, water gardens and extensively replanted since the 1960s with rhododendrons, azaleas, magnolias, cornus, acer and many other acid-loving plants. As well as the beautiful water garden, there is a rose garden and many mixed borders. Lakeside picnic area, rare breeds of farm animals, including llamas. Ancient private chapel in park.
