Brodsworth Hall and Gardens

Brodsworth Hall is a rare example of a Victorian country house that has survived largely unaltered with much of its original furnishings and decorations intact. Designed and built in the 1860s it remains an extraordinary time capsule. The now faded grandeur of the reception rooms speaks of an opulent past whilst the cluttered servants wing, with its great kitchen from the age of Mrs Beeton, recalls a vanished way of life. Careful conservation by English Heritage has preserved the patina of time throughout the house to produce an interior that is both fascinating and evocative. The Hall is set within beautifully restored Victorian gardens rich in features which are a delight in any season. OPENING TIMES SUMMER: 1 April - 31 October Tue - Sun, & BHs.
